Machining Consultancy Van Hoorn Hardmetaal was founded by Peter and Lenie van Hoorn.

Several European brands of machining tools were provided. Both advice and support are the trademark of the company.

Van Hoorn Hardmetaal moves to a stylish new location on the Zuid-Willemsvaart in Weert.

Production began for Van Hoorn Hardmetaal.

The development of grinding wear parts was the next step in the company’s progress.

A milestone achieved in the history of the company: Van Hoorn Hardmetaal began the manufacturing and production of its own line of solid carbide end mills.

Van Hoorn Hardmetaal moves to the Copernicusstraat, a new location!

Due to the mass manufacturing to meet the supply and demand of Van Hoorn Hardmetaals industrial success, the original location became too small to handle all aspects of business. Therefore all activities relocated to a larger venue at Copernicusstraat 2 in Weert. For better ease and accessability.

The company established its first foreign branch in Hong Kong under the name of “Pacific Carbide”. Van Hoorn Hardmetaal goes global!

The brand name “Van Hoorn Carbide” is finally introduced.

Van Hoorn Carbide expands to Shenzhen, China.

The second generation of the Van Hoorn family takes control.

Both sons take their own role within the company: Ralph van Hoorn as Managing Director and Patrick van Hoorn as Financial Director. Van Hoorn Carbide is now ready for the future.

The second brand range of VHC, perfect for smaller production companies and general applications.
